Sermon I
how awareness comes from distinguishing

Sermon II
How God the creator is not the same as God omni benevolent

Sermon III
A, imo too verbose, description of Abraxas

Sermon IV
Apart from good and bad there is the creative growth of the mind ("Tree of Life")at one side and need and the pleasure of fullfillment ("Eros") on the other side. These two can both have good and bad aspects.
Here Jung says that it is of no use to pray to God. I don't agree to that. In other works he contradicts himself at this point: he has stated that from a psychological point of view believing in God is healthier than not believing.

Sermon V
This sermon contains a lot of information. First it tells us how man and woman differ psychologycallly. Where the psychology of the woman is described as being "upside down" in some way.
Something about greater and smaller being the realm of man and woman respectively is also in the I Ching, .... It wouldn't surprise me if Jung got this idea from there.
New to me (at that time) was the idea of striving. I was told that life consists of a series of "do's and don'ts". This pasage: "The gods force you to communion. As much as they force you, so much is the communion needed, more is evil." tells us to optimize our way of living.

Sermon VI
Two sybols are introduced here. I think they describe our instincts. "The White Bird bideth with the Mother, from time to time descending. He commandeth singleness." "The Serpent is an earthly soul akin to the spirits of the dead, making us either fear them or pricking us with intemperate desires."

Sermon VII
"Man is a gateway, through which from the outer world of gods, daemons, and souls ye pass into the inner world; out of the greater into the smaller world. At immeasurable distance standeth one single Star in the zenith." This resembles the idea of man being created in the image of God. Or the idea that God resides within every man.
